Arkansas is a state of contrasts from the Mississippi delta to the Ozarks and from quartz to diamonds. It is shaped by American Indians, hillbillies, Wal-Mart, and Tyson's and many Oklahomans have ancestral lines that come through this state to our east. La Nell will show us the great places to research and what records are available to help with your Arkansas research including those available on the internet.

Discovering genealogy in 1992, La Nell has researched on location in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri and Mississippi.

She is an active member of several lineage societies including DAR, Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars, Daughters of 1812, and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She currently serves as President of the Home and Community Education Genealogy Group, teaches the Legacy genealogy program at the Computer Club of Oklahoma City, is a Board Member of United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma, and volunteers at the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Library.
